Linn C. COWDEN (1855-1903) ; Clarissa Clementine (Williams) COWDEN, widow of Henry COWDEN (brother of Linn C. COWDEN); and Robert Thomas Walker "Bob" COWDEN, son of Clarissa and Henry COWDEN, all of whom lived in Benton Co. AR. Lynn COWDEN (1797/1800-1880), father of Linn C. and Henry COWDEN also lived in Benton Co. AR from about 1856 until 1880, when he died. Linn C. COWDEN moved to Texas, finally settling in Erath County, as did Henry. Both died early 1900's, and Henry's wife Clarissa moved her family back to Benton Co. AR where they remained until her death. She is buried in Highfill Cemetery.

James E. CRANE (1829-1919) and his family.
The lady is his second wife, Bedora Chesney SPARKS (1858-1928). The picture was taken about 1915. They lived in Siloam Springs at the time, but the picture could have been taken at the home of one of his children in Kansas, Oklahoma, or Arkansas. Bedora was the mother of the three people on the left, back row. His other children were by his first wife, Emily LEACH. James Crane's biography appears in Goodspeed's History
