Crit was born April 1869 in Wayne Co Tenn when his family was enroute from Walker Co., Ala to Boone Co., Arkansas He was the son of Christopher and Mary Elizabeth Raines Loggains He had 1 sister Sarah Pamela, born in Walker Co., AL and died of measles in Boone Co.,AR [1880 AR Mortality Schedule] Family lore is that when Crit was born his father ran off with the midwife and was never heard from again. His mother remarried in Boone Co., AR to George Haskins. Crit married Sophenia Bert in Boone Co., AR. They had 1 son - James Henry. After Mary's death in Crit and Sophenia divorced and she married Crit's step-father and had 2 sons, Norb and Orb Haskins. James went by the surname Haskins all his life. Sophenia Hung herself in their barn in Lowry, AR [my mother was raised next door to this family] Crit married again in 1875 to Anna DeFreeze in Independence Co., AR
