Jimmie Adams, 80, of Harrison died peacefully at his home, Tuesday, November, 16 (2004) at Harrison.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, November 19 at Christeson Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Shelton and Rev. Eddie Reed oficiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.

Burial will be in the White Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matthew Adams, T.J. Thompson, J.D. Adams, Jerrel Roberts, Loyie Roberts and Arlee Adams. Honorary pallbearers include Dr. Kevin Jackson, Dr. Scott Ferguson, David Jones, and all his gospel singing friends.

The son of charlie and Eller (Claxton) Adams was born December 23, 1923 in Newton County. He was a member of Liberty Assembly of God Church. He had worked for Flexsteel 31 years, and loved gospel music.

He was preceeded in death by his parents, brothers Floyd Adams, Roscoe Adams, Claude Adams, Oscar Adams and Russell Adams; and sisters Deller Bass, Ethel Robinson and Nancy Owens.

He is survived by his loving wife Buna Faye (Jones) Adams of the home; two sons Arvin and his wife Fern (Widner) Adams of Harrison, Darvin and his wife Shirley (Fowler) Adams of P.D. Flat, one daughter, Carolyn and her husband Tom Thompson of Harrison; one brother Willis and his wife Eula of P.D. Flat; five grand childred Wrinda Adams, Mylinda Adams, Amanda and her husband Steve Curtis, Matthew Adams, T.J. Thompson and his wife Jaime Thompson all of Harrison. Four great grandchildren, Jasmine, Jessaka and Kendred Thompson, and Kolby Curtis all of Harrison, and two step-granddaughters Cassidy and Abbie Curtis, also of Harrison.
