C. B. Grice

 
(June 30, 1921 - January 9, 2008) 

C. B. Grice age 86 of New Edinburg, died Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at his home. 
He was born June 30, 1921 in Bradley County, a son of the late Hudie and Beulah 
Parnell Grice. Mr. Grice served in the Army during World War II. He was a self 
employed farmer and a timber man and was a member of Mt. Elba Missionary Baptist 
Church. Mr. Grice was also preceded in death by his wife, Allie Mae Childress Grice; 
one son, Billy Wayne Grice; one granddaughter, Dorothy Annette Grice and one 
granddaughter in-law, Amanda Leane Allen Grice. 

Mr. Grice is survived by one son, Jimmy Grice of Ashdown; one daughter and 
son-in-law, Ouita and Bill Jarrett of New Edinburg; one brother, Clifton Grice of 
Kingsland; two sisters, Lurlene Wolfe of Warren, Sue Lisemby of New Edinburg; 
eight grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandson; 
special friend, Ruby Green of Fordyce. 

Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 12, 2008 at Mt. Elba Missionary 
Baptist Church in New Edinburg with Brother Rodney Grice, Brother Bobby Parnell 
and Brother Rick Bolin officiating. Burial will follow in the Graves Cemetery. 
Visitation is Friday, January 11, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Buie Funeral Home 
in Rison. Pallbearers are Bruce Grice, Keith, Kerry Grice, Randy Wagnon, Wade 
Offutt and Jimmy Childress. Arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral 
Home of Rison (870) 325-6216.
