Victor "Chip" Morgan

WARREN -- Victor "Chip" Morgan, age 79, of Warren, Ark., died Saturday, Aug. 25, [2001] at his home. He was born May 18, 1922, at New Edinburg, Ark., a son of the late Watt Morgan and Cora Frey Morgan.

"Chip" served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II and was a retired millwright for Potlatch Corp. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Pauline Sunday School Class.

Surviving is his wife, Otha Mae Morgan; one son, Terry Morgan and spouse Linda, Little Rock, Ark.; two daughters, Vicky Davis and spouse Mike, Wynne, Ark., and Marsha Lain and spouse Ed, Warren, Ark.; one brother, Russell Morgan, Mount Vernon, Ind.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a wife, Mary Vanita Williams Morgan [daughter of Vera J. Burks and Joseph Elijah "Lige" Williams]; one sister and five brothers. He leaves a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27, at Calvary Baptist Church.

Burial in Smith Morgan Cemetery at New Edinburg by Frazer's Funeral Home. Visitation 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, at Frazer's. E-mail: frazers@ceLnet.
