Dayzhon Rashad Hampton, age 6, of Banks, died August 5, 2001.

He was born October 26, 1994, the son of Angela Gilbert and Stanley Hampton. He was a member of Oaklone AME Church, Banks.

Survivors include his mother, Angela Gilbert; father, Stanley Hampton; stepmother, Tori Hampton; one brother, Stephon Hampton, 3 sisters, Nauja Hampton, Portia Hampton, and Mercedes Hampton; one step-brother, Cody Green; grandparents, Joe and Jean Gilbert, Carl and Mittie Hampton; step-grandparents, Virgil Jr. and Betty Martin; 7 aunts, AnnetteGilbert, Tangela (Henry) Cox, Ketra Hampton, Linda (David) York, Sheena Hampton, Tajuana Hampton, and Symetha Jackson; 8 uncles, Tyrone Gilbert, Anthone (Marcella) Hampton, Komonte Hampton, Ricky (Tamiko) Hampton, Kenneth (Janice) Hampton, Roderick (Melissa)Hampton, and Jeffery Hampton; great aunts, great uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were Friday, August 10, 2001, at Greater Hampton Chapel AME Church, Johnsville with Rev. Henry Cox officiating.

Burial was in Antioch & Hampton Chapel Cemetery by Hammons Funeral Home.
