Julia Singer Wear

Julia Singer Wear Obituary Mrs. Julia Singer Wear, 75, died Saturday, August 15, (1936) having been ill for the past six weeks. She was born August 2, 1861, in Hermitage, the daughter of John and Permelia Singer. She was married February 19, 1885 to N. C. Wear, who passed away several years ago. She was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church.


She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. J. T. Nixon, Warren; and Mrs. E. E. Neely, Wilmar; six sons, J. W. and C. A. Wear, Houston, Texas., H. H. Wear, San Antonio, Tex., A. C. and T. P. Wear, Warren; and W. D. Wear, Little Rock; fourteen grandchildren; and one great grandchild.


Funeral services were conducted at Hickory Springs Cemetery by Rev. Minor Cole, pastor of the first Baptist Church.


Pall bearers were W. H. Hargis, M. Stedman, Gold DeArmond, B. H. Bowman, C. Dalton and Bill Owens.
