Julian Meek Carraway



Julian Meek Carraway, age 72, of Warren, Arkansas, died Thursday, September 15, 1994, at the Bradley County Memorial Hospital in Warren.

He was born January 8, 1923, in Cleveland County, a son of the late Ellis Verna Carraway and Ruby Lee Rodgers Carraway.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a farmer, the owner of Julian Carraway Automotive, and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Warren.

He was a 50 year member of the Huey Lodge 78 F&AM at New Edinburg.

Surviving is his wife, Marnette Carmical Carraway whom he married January 8, 1940 in Cleveland County; and a son, Pat Carraway.

He was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Carraway.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Sunday, September 18, at Frazer's Chapel by Rev. Rocky Goodwin and Rev. Joe McClellan.

Janice Sullivan played and Annette Langston sang.

Burial was in Oakland Cemetery in Warren by Frazer's Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers were Johnny Vargas, Gregg Gonzolas, Buster Miller, Bobby Joe Clements, John Moseley, Burgess Williams, Robert Williams, and Mike Williams.

Honorary pallbearers were Eddie Carr, James Plair, Harry Carraway, Harold Raymer, and Donald Moseley.
