Lizzie Jane Lee Franklin, age 82, of Banks, AR. died Tuesday February 13, at her home. Born December 28, 1924 in Banks, AR. a daughter of the late Robert E. Lee and Lula McLeod Lee she was a homemaker, member Springhill Freewill Baptist Church, widow of Benjamin “Ben” Franklin whom she married December 24, 1940. He died October 12, 1988. Also, preceding her in death was a grandchild Martha “Little Bit” McKenzie. Survivors are 2 sons Lee Franklin and spouse Kay of Ft. Worth, TX. Robert Franklin of Banks, AR. 2 daughters Martha Posey of Crossett, AR. Clara Ruth Ferrell and spouse Jim of Wilmar, AR. 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 1:30 p.m. Thursday February 15, Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Victor Hunter, Rev. Roy Grice, Jr., Rev. Ricky Smith. Linda Barrett was organist, soloist were Dottie Smith and Tony Rhinehart. Burial was in Childs Cemetery near Banks, AR. by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Robert Franklin, Jr., Benji Franklin, Jon Poole, Bobby McKenzie, Tony Wells, Craig McCarthey, Russell Poole, Jeff Johnson. Honorary pallbearers were Gary McFarland, Eugene Wooley, Ovid Grice, Hugh Funderburg, Lyn Grice, Jesse Goodman, Kevin Ferrell, Chad Lloyd, Jason Hollingsworth and members Springhill Freewill Baptist Church
