Peggy Sue Quimby Bowman


November 28, 1925 - December 8, 2015


Peggy Sue Quimby Bowman, age 90, of Warren, Ark., died Tuesday December 8, at John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado, Ark. She was born November 28, 1925, in Hermitage, Ark., a daughter of the late Selvin T. Quimby and Mary Lansdale Quimby. Peggy was a retired interior decorator, former owner/operator of Highway Contract Mail, served 19 years as President of The Ladies Auxillary of National Star Route Mail Carries Association, a member of First Baptist Church since 1960, and the widow of Benjamin Felton Bowman who died November 8, 2000. They were united in marriage August 23, 1942.


Also preceding her in death was a sister, Emogene Quimby, a brother, Travis Quimby and a great-grandchild, Myra Fry. Survivors are two sons, Nick Bowman and spouse Linda, Monroe, La., Bobby F. Bowman and spouse Virginia, Hamburg, Ark.; one daughter, Sherrilyn Jean Weaver, Crossett, Ark.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral service [was]1:30 p.m. Thursday December 10, [2015] at Frazer's Chapel. Burial in Hickory Springs Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Visitation 12:30 p.m. Thursday Decembr 10, until service time at Frazer's. Memorials preferred Lifetouch Hospice; 2301 Champagnolle Road; El Dorado, Ark. 71730.
