Thelma Jane Lubbes Anderson

FORT SMITH -- Thelma Jane Anderson, age 79, of Fort Smith, Ark., formerly of Warren, Ark., died Sunday, Feb. 15, at St. Edwards Hospital at Fort Smith. She was born Sept. 22, 1918, at Graysonia, Ark., a daughter of the late Herbert Otto Lubbes and Bernice Parker Lubbes. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Warren and a homemaker. She married Max Anderson on Dec. 12, 1937, at Warren, Ark., and he died Aug. 6, 1993.

Surviving are two sons, Zane Anderson, Jacksonville, Ark., and Chet Anderson, Fort Smith, Ark.; one daughter, Joanna Hudson, Fayetteville, Ark.; one brother, Courtney Lubbes, Fort Wayne, Ind.; two sisters, Maifred Turner, Lemon Grove, Calif., and Katherine Pedropessi, Albuquerque, N.M.; six grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, David Anderson.

Graveside services 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, at Oakland Cemetery at Monticello by Rev. Bill Leslie. The body was cremated by Frazer's Funeral Home. Memorials preferred to First United Methodist Church, Warren, Ark.
