| In February, 1936, the late Rufus T. Buie
headed the organization of the Arkansas State Burial Association, operated in connection
with the Buie Funeral Home. For several years
prior to that time he had sold funeral supplies in connection with a hardware business in
Rison.
In 1939 Buie Funeral Home and Arkansas sTate Burial
Association opened their doors in Sheridan and in 1952 a third business was constructed in
1945. |
