Becky writes....The attached photo appeared in the Cleveland County Herald recently. Also attached is the cemetery history which was written by myself and my mom with the help of the footnoted family members or documents.

DIRECTIONS: Located .5 mile south of Hwy. 8 in the Smith Chapel community between Fordyce and New Edinburg. Section 6, Township11, Range 11.
HISTORY: The Cemetery was established by Washington B. Smith as a family burial ground soon after he migrated to this community from Montgomery County, Alabama in 1836. The first grave is that of his mother-in-law, Grandmother Reaves, mother of his first wife Fannie Jane (Reaves). This grave is marked by a tall marble slab with no name or dates and is located in the center back of the cemetery. From the Cleveland County Arkansas Cemetery Records Vol. III.
