Geraldine (Crain) Jackson

Geraldine Jackson, age 67, of New Edinburg, died Friday, January 14, 2005, in the St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock. Born June 27, 1937 at Rison, she was a daughter of the late Grady Judge Crain, Sr. and Rosie Holmes Crain. She was a member of Marks Memorial C.O.G.I.C. at Carthage. She was district missionary of the Fordyce Central District and was self-employed by Jackson Logging Co.

Survivors include her husband, Melvin K. Jackson, Sr. of New Edinburg; two sons, Elder Melvin K. Jackson, Jr. of New Edinburg and Reggie Jackson of Memphis, TN; two daughters, Sandra Kaye Mills of Forrest City and Jennifer Jackson-Allen of Stockbridge, GA; two brothers, Grady Crain, Jr. of Malvern and Robert Crain of West Helena; two sisters, Bobbie Ramey and Ruthie Lea, both of Chicago, IL; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., January 18, at the United Pentecostal Church at Fordyce with Elder Marvin Jackson, Jr. officiating. Burial was in Liberty Hill Cemetery at Rison by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff.
