RISON'S FIRST HOTEL

Shown here is the Harrison House, Rison's first hotel, which was erected in the late 1880's in the new town on the Cotton Belt Railroad by J. J. Harrison, who had been in the hotel business at Toledo.  Part of the building is still standing on East First Street and is owned by Misses Zora and Rachel Harrison, granddaughters of the Late J. J. Harrison.
