Mrs. Sanders, 93, Dies in Resident, Services Today

Mrs. Ida Minnie (Trammell) Sanders, 93, widow of Oscar Lee Sanders, died Wednesday, June 8, 1968, at her home on Route 3, San Augustine, Texas. She was born at New Edinburg, Arkansas, to David and Mary Lynn Trammell and was a Baptist.  Funeral services were held Friday, June 10, 1968, in Shiloh Baptist Church with the Rev. Carl Greer, pastor of First Baptist Church in Burkeville, officiating. Assisting was the Rev. Gerald Rawson of San Augustine.  Burial under the direction of Wyman Roberts Funeral Home was in Sanders Cemetery. Pallbearers were James Nichols, Burl Smith, Vendell Lewis, Edward Lazorine, Bennie Sanders and E.A. Tidewell.

She was survived by three daughters — Mrs. Luther Howell and Mrs. Willie Howell of San Augustine and Mrs. John Hight of Mansfield, Louisiana and four sons Sammy Sanders of Chireno, Otis Sanders of San Augustine, Floyd Sanders of Abeline, Texas, and Loyd Sanders of Snata Anna, California, 26 grandchildren, 76 great-grandchildren and 23 great-great-grandchildren.
