Neely "Alec" Rushing

Neely (Alec) Rushing, age 84, of Kingsland, died Friday June 16, 1995, at the Dallas County Hospital in Fordyce Arkansas. He was a retired logger. Born at Leola (Grant County), Arkansas on February 24, 1911, he was the
sone of the late William Andrew Rushing and Emma Rhodes Rushing. Mr. Rushing was a member of Kingsland First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife Geraldine Mooney Rushing, a sister Ollie Rushing Price, three brothers, Jack Rushing, William (Tom) Rushing, Tellis (Dick) Rushing.

Survivors include his wife, Helen McFarland Woolley McManus Rushing; three daughters, Reba Rushing Kauffman of Little Rock, Betty Rushing Wilson of San Antonio, Texas, Carolyn Rushing Wallace of Fordyce; three brothers  A. B. Rushing of Pine Bluff, Henry Rushing of McMinnville, Oregon, and A. J. Rushing of Altanta, Ga.; a sister Rachel Rushing Shelby of Monroe, La, nine grandchildren 13 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday morning, June 19, 1995  at the chapel of Buie Funeral Home of Rison, Arkansas, conducted by Bro Gene Murdock & Bro J. C. Singleton. Burial was in Kingsland Cemetery, with Buie Funeral Home of Rison in charge of the arrangements.
