Joe Huntley, age 79, of Kingsland, died Fridcy, July 22, 2005, at his home.
Born June 21, 1926, in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Frank Huntley and Vicy Bell Huntley.
He worked as a millwright with I.E. Moore Timber Company before his retirement and was of the Methodist faith.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Leona "Onie" Granderson Huntley; one daughter, Brenda Joyce Huntley; one grandson, Kevin Huntley; two brothers, A.J.Huntley and Marion Huntley and two sisters, Margaret Butler and Mattie Studders.
Survivors include one son, Ronnie Huntley of Kingsland; three daughters, Diane Womack of Kingsland, Sheila Neal of Perry, FL and Bonnie Adams of Kingsland; one brother, Edward Huntley of Dayton, TX; three sisters, Verda Woodell of Camden, Juanita Mitchell of Pine Bluff and Carolyn Ratliff of Houston, TX; eight grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 25, in the Greenwood Cemetery at Rison with Rev. Harry Puterbaugh officiating. Buie Funeral Home of Rison was in charge of arrangements.
