FORDYCE — Billy Jack Ray, 78 of Fordyce, died November 17, 2005 in the Dallas County Medical Center in Fordyce.
He was a member of Zion Missionary Baptist and was also a Navy World War II veteran. Memorials may be made to Zion Missionary Baptist Building Fund. He is survived by his wife, Nadine Ray; one daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Dale Waldrop of Fordyce; one brother, Roy Ray of Fordyce; three half-brothers, Franklin Ray of Kansas City, Kan., Bobby Ray of Bryant and Lafayette Ray of Marianna; one half-sister, Frances Hanon of Galveston, Texas; two grandchildren, Krissy and Danny Waldrop.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce with Rev. Nathan Winiecki officiating. Burial at Garner Cemetery.
