Henderson, 44, of Magnolia was killed Sunday when the car he was driving crossed the centerline of Arkansas 132 abd slammed head-on into a tractor-trailer rig, the Arkansas State Police said. The accident occurred 12 miles south of Magnolia, the state police said. Lucille Henderson, 43, was injured in the collission and was taken to Magnolia, officials said. The driver of the tractor-trailer rig, Tommy Davis, 22, of Springhill, La., was not injured. Magnolia - The Banner News June 26, 1978 A 44-year-old Dayton, Tex., man was killed and his wife injured in a two-vehicle accident on Hwy 132, 12 miles south of Magnolia, at 1:20pm Sunday, Arkansas State Trooper Ron Stovall said. The man identified as J.C. Henderson was killed on impact and pronounced dead at the scene by Coroner Fred Lewis, Stovall said. Mrs. Lucille Henderson was taken to Magnolia Hospital where she was listed in fair condition this morning, a hospital spokesman said. The accident occurred when a pickup truck driven by Henderson left the roadway onto the sholder then veered over the center line and was struck by a southbound tractor-trailer driven by Tommy W. Davis 22, of Springhill, Stovall said. The truck is owned by Bob Young Vacuum Service of Springhill. Henderson was working in Magnolia for Brown and Root, Inc. and staying in a local motel.
