GRAHAM/BAKER
Trying to help my nephew who is in the Navy get a jump start on his ancestors. Researching George GRAHAM whose wife was Nannie BAKER. This couple were reported to be from Columbia County and were parents to John and Jehu Graham. One James Jehu Graham, born 1890, died 1944 in Shreveport, Caddo Parish, LA. This Jehu's wife was Essie Bell DOWDEN. Believe George GRAHAM ties to John A. GRAHAM, born 1860, died 1911, buried St. Maurice Cemetery, Winn Parish, LA. His wife was Lucinda Bell FISHER. Would be glad to share what information I have collected thus far, and would greatly appreciate any help. Would love to surprise my nephew when he comes in from his current cruise up the East Coast on the U. S. S. Vicksburg. Thanks.

FORCE
John W. Force, Henry Clay Force, William J, Force and Samuel Force were sons of Freeman Morris Force and Nancy Massey from Aberdeen, Ms. They moved to the Columbia-Lafayette County area in the 1860s. Three of them married Hutchinson girls and Samuel married Mattie Sherman. I am trying to determine who William J. Force's children were. I suspect that Mary Elizabeth "Mollie" Force, born Feb 17, 1874 was one along with George K. Force born Jan 27, 1880 and Jack Force dob unk but married Ellen Blankenship who was born Dec 29, 1877 in Stamps, Ar. If anyone knows about this family I would be happy to hear from them.

VAN WINKLE/GOODWIN/GOODEN/GOODIN/SHARP
Looking for the location of the burial of Jesse and Catherine VanWinkle. Parents of Andrew Jackson VanWinkle of Magnolia Area, in late 1800s. Some suggest they were buried in Stewart- Walkersville Cemetary. Jesse and Catherine were farmers in Lafayette Co, but moved to Columbia Co, to be with their son John Richard as they became elderly. Also interested in knowing Catherine's full name. I am a decendant of Jesse, John Richard-his son, Andrew Jackson-his son, Jesse Ben Newton -his son and Lester Jackson Van Winkle-his son. I am Lester Jackson Van Winkle's middle son: Michael Ray Van Winkle

HUTCHINSON
Easter C. Hutchinson (Daughter of either John R. or Edwin Hutchinson) of Calhoun Township of Columbia Co. Ar. married William J. Force in Columbia Co. on April 4, 1869. There were shown in the 1870 Columbia Co. Census and had no children at the time. William J. died on Mar 10, 1877, thus he wasn't around for the 1880 Census. I believe that he died leaving Easter with two or more small children. The most likely children were Mary Elizabeth "Molly" Force and Jack A. Force. Easter Force and her children could have been living in the home with her parents in either Columbia or Nevada County when the 1880 Census was taken or else she could have remarried. I would appreciate any help I can get on this as its my only missing link in seven generations of the Force family.

RUSH/TEMPLE/HAWKINS
Three Rush girls were orphaned in the late 1850's. Elizabeth (14) was living with the J. E. Hawkins family in the l860 census of Union Co. Mary Frances (9) my great grandmother, was living with James F. Temple family in the same census, Josephine (abt 3) unable to locate in 1860. J.F.Temple's wife was Sarah Ann Rush. These families lived near the border of Columbia Co. The Rush families in the area came from Franklin Co. MS. I can't identify the parents of these girls. I've searched many MS records, many Union Co. AR records. I am now embarking on reading the Guardianship records of Columbia Co. Any information would be helpful.
