Cemeteries of Dallas County, Arkansas

If you would like a copy of this map, Just download the .pdf file here. You will need the FREE Adobe Acrobat Reader, to open this page. All towns are listed in Blue (both current & historical) and all Cemeteries are listed in Red. This map is NOT COMPLETE, it does not list all Cemeteries in Dallas County, and I am still trying to locate the various Cemeteries and their locations. I will update this as I find new Cemeteries.
If you have any information, photos or directions to any Cemetery in Dallas County, please contact me, so I can include it here.

  Clabe-Thrower (A. A.) Cemetery

As you go north on the road out of Hopeville towards Forrest Bonner (up the dirt road east of the Lily Pad Pond) you will get to the Old Cathey place at the crest of the hill (if you go down the hill you will cross Populi Creek and on towards Jesse Lee Clemons old place. There is an old road that runs just to the right of the old house (it is falling down the last time I saw it). If you go down that road it curves to the right and on to the cemetery. I don't know how many are buried there, but I understand they still bury from time to time.

The Cathey house is on the Calhoun/Dallas County line, but the cemetery is in Dallas Co.

I wish I could be more precise on how to find it. Dr. Levenis Penix (former principal of Thornton School) knows about it and Wayne Cathey of Hopeville knows where it is.

The GPS coordinates are N 33 deg 4.11" and W 2 deg 33.10" It is in Township 10, Range 14W, Section 33. It is in the southeast corner of that section.
