Carrie Warfield

Carrie "Cassie" Warfield, 81, of Carthage, died April 28, 2000, at Hot Springs County Hospital at Hot Springs.

She was born February 18, 1918, at Kingsland, a daughter of the late Leroy Jackson and Ollie Crain.

She was a member of Bethel AME Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rea Warfield.

Survivors include five sons, Lawrence Smith of West Helena, Eddie Jackson and Bennie Warfield, both of Richmond, California, James Warfield and David Warfield, both of Carthage; a daughter, Edna Mae Smith of Carthage; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be noon Thursday at Bethel AME Church with the Rev. Willie Toney Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery by Brown-Williams Funeral Home at Fordyce.

Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

The family will be at 330 Central Avenue, Carthage.
