John Leonard Brown, 60, of Sheridan, died November 4, 2000, at University Hospital at Little Rock.

Born March 20, 1940, at Smead (Dallas County), he was a son of the late Loyd Leonard and Maggie Lucindy Tuberville Brown.

He was a retired mechanic and member of the Junet Pentecostal Church at Sheridan.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Mitchell Brown; two sons, John Wayne Brown and Loyd Leonard Brown, both of Little Rock; a daughter, JoAnne Rachelle Brown Rhodes of Houston; three brothers, Loyd Edward Brown of Pine Bluff, Harold Dean Brown of Sheridan and Roy Carroll Brown of Morrilton; four sisters, Francis Louellen McLemore of Sheridan, Carolyn Sue McLemore of Redding, California, Maryland Rosette Cleghorn of Bryant and Jeanette Marie Heird of Pine Bluff; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Junet Pentecostal Church at Sheridan with the Rev. Al Michael officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel North Cemetery at the Ico community near Sheridan by Buie Funeral Home at Sheridan.

Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
