Betty M. Dickerson

HOT SPRINGS -- Betty Lou Matlock Dickerson, 61, of Hot Springs died July 19, 2003. She was born Dec. 7, 1941, daughter of the late Wiley Matlock and Bessie Turner Matlock. She was a member of Greater St. Paul Baptist Church of Hot Springs, and the widow of John L. Dickerson.

Survivors include: Five sons, Sam Matlock of Holy Springs, Miss., Lonnie Dickerson of Hot Springs, John L. Dickerson of Tulsa, Okla., James W. Dickerson of Dodge City, Kan., and John A. Dickerson of Memphis, Tenn.; three daughters, Betty J. Matlock and Johnnie Mae Cheatham of Hot Springs and Fannie Mae Taylor of Tulsa, Okla.; seven sisters, Betty Joe Owens of Carthage, Bobbie J. Dailey and Cora Mae Adams of Sparkman, Emma J. Perry of Milwaukee, Wis., Joann Matlock of Memphis, Tenn., Carolyn Johnson of Hot Springs and Zettie Matlock of Nashville; and four brothers, Eddie H. Matlock of Memphis, Tenn., Eddie Lee Matlock of Little Rock, Floyd Matlock of Milwaukee, and Larry Matlock of Malvern.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Harmony Baptist Church of Sparkman with Rev. Frank Dunn officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery at Sparkman under the direction of Brandon's Mortuary of Hot Springs.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at Greater St. Paul Baptist Church of Hot Springs.
