Henry A. Burks

CARTHAGE - Henry Austin Burks, 83, of Carthage died Nov. 20, 2005, in the VA hospital at Little Rock. He was born Oct. 6, 1922, at Manning, the son of Jim Green and Mary Ella Hughes Burks. He was a machinist and a member of Mt. Zion AME Church at Princeton.

Survivors include: His wife, Sallie Burks of Carthage; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Zion AME Church with Rev. J.C. Owens officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery at Sparkman under the direction of Marks Funeral Home of Fordyce.
