Willie P. Owens

LITTLE ROCK -- Willie Plas Owens Jr., 63, of Little Rock, formerly of Sparkman, died April 2, 2005, at his home. He was born Jan. 15, 1942, at Magnolia, son of the late Willie Plas Sr. and Myrtle House Owens. He was a member of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church and a graduate of Muskegon Reeths-Puffer High School and California State University at Los Angeles. He was an employee of Southern California Edison.

Survivors include: Two children, Lisa Owens of Los Angeles, Calif., and Jason Owens of Little Rock; his mother, Myrtle Owens of Sparkman; and three brothers, Charlie Owens of Diamond Bar, Calif., Melvin Owens of Lansing, Mich., and Raymond Owens of Duluth, Ga.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Harmony Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Kidd officiating. Burial will be in Harmony Cemetery under the direction of Williams Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with family hour from 6-7 p.m.
