Gladys Talbert Key, 88, of Carthage died Saturday October 7, 2006 at the Dallas County Medical Center at Fordyce. Born February 9, 1918 at Carthage, she was a daughter of the late Thomas David and Mabel M. Williams Talbert. She was a member of Carthage First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. “Jim” Key and a daughter, Charlotte Owens. She is survived by three sons, John Key and his wife, Barbara of Waxahachie, TX, David Key and his wife, Carolyn of Louisville, MS, Doug Key and his wife, Shelia of Thornton, one daughter, Annette Freer and her husband, Sheridan of Ivan, nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday at Hampton Springs Cemetery near Carthage with Rev.
