Hugh C. Reynolds

1920 - 2006
Hugh C. Reynolds, 85, of Fordyce died May 6, 2006.

Mr. Reynolds was born August 5, 1920 in Fordyce to the late Hugh Cleveland and Ruth Sisson Reynolds. He was a member of Fordyce First Baptist Church, a Shriner, and an Army Veteran of World War II. He was a lifelong member of the Democratic Party and recently resigned as Chairman of the Dallas County Democratic Committee.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Keenum Reynolds and a brother, William Reynolds. He is survived by a sister, Mary Ruth Creech of Camden; son, Collins Reynolds and wife Janie of Bismark; daughters, Linda Hankins and husband Troy of Pine Bluff, Vickie Gray and husband Paul of Hot Springs; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday May 9, 2006 at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel in Fordyce with Rev. Stacy Reed officiating. Burial at Stoney Point Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday May 8, 2006 at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Fordyce or the Stoney Point Cemetery Association. Arrangements by Benton Funeral Home.
