Ida Jones

Ida Mae Ellerd Walker Jones, 68, of Sheridan, died Friday May 12, 2006 in St. Joseph’s Mercy Medical Center in Hot Springs, AR. She was born in Manning, AR on April 1, 1938 to the late Simon Peter & Golda Mae Keeling Ellerd. Mrs. Jones was a Baptist and a homemaker.

She is survived by her three sons, Franklin Lawrence Walker II of Ashburn, GA, Darryl Anthony Walker of Bearden, AR, Billy Cheyenne Walker of Hot Springs, AR; two daughters, Peggy Ann Christian of Sheridan, AR, Donna Jean Bentz of Sheridan, AR; a sister, Mary Ruth Loy of Arkadelphia, AR; sixteen grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Glen Jones, two brothers, William Alton Ellerd, Robert Earl Ellerd; and a sister, Shirley Ann Shofner.

Graveside services will be 11:00 am Monday May 15, 2006 at the Delmar Cemetery, with the Rev. David Dillard officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Sunday evening at the funeral home in Bearden. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
