Melani Eileen Smith, 28, of Fordyce, died Tuesday February 7, 2006. She was born in Fordyce on July 11, 1977. Melani was a homemaker and attended the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

She is survived by her parents, Don R. & Eileen Smith of Fordyce, her grandmothers, Gladys Smith of Fordyce, Pearl Forrest of Warren, AR, a daughter, Abbi Earley of Fordyce, three brothers, Don R. Smith JR. of Fordyce, French Smith of Fordyce, Jonathan Smith of Fordyce, and a sister Kristi Johnson of Gilroy, CA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Lee Earley, and her grandfathers, T.P. Smith, and Charlie Forrest.
