Mrs. Winonia Bennett Woodruff

Remembering Our Beloved:

Mrs. Winonia Bennett Woodruff, daughter of Edd Bennett and Geretha Bennett, was born in Carthage, Arkansas on April 12, 1928.

She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior, uniting with Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Arkansas. She received her education in Carthage and Fordyce, Arkansas, graduating from Fordyce High School.

Mrs. Winonia met ahd later united in holy matrimony with Willie Carey Woodruff in Oakland, California in January of 1956. Their sacred union was blessed with three sons; Derrick. Daryl and Dwight.

Mrs. Winonia Bennett Woodruff enjoyed cooking various types of meals and helping people. She constanly tried to keep her family members together by hosting Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. She also enjoyed attending famiy reunions and other events.
She had a passion for traveling to various parts of the country to visit with family and friends.

Mrs. Winonia Bennett Woodruff departed this life on April 26, 2006 She was preceded in death by both of her parents, Edd and Geretha Bennett, and one of her sons, Dwight.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory, her sons; Derrick and Daryl Woodruff. A daughter in law, Chontay Woodruff, grandsons, Dashaun and Devante Woodruff; Her brothers; Eddie (aka as Duke), Vernon (aka Sonny), Willie (aka Ray) and Kelsie (aka as Bobby) Bennett. Her sisters: Althea (aka Reesie) and Susie Harris. Numerious nieces. grand neices, nephews. grand nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
