Lois “Toad” Fleming White Davis

Lois “Toad” Fleming White Davis passed away Saturday,
Jan.12, 2008, at Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia. She
was born Sept. 18, 1919, to the late William and Lennie Fitzhugh
Fleming. She was a nurse having worked at Clark County Memorial
Hospital, Riverwood Nursing Home and retired from the office
of the late Dr. Eli Gary. Lois was a member of the Manchester
Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school for many
years and Manchester EHC.
She was proceeded in death by her parents; husbands, W. M. “Sprout” White
and Leonard Davis; brothers, Elwood Fleming and Ernest Fleming;
sisters, Agee Pittman, Addie Robbins, Lillie Scriumshire, Delia
Davis, Hazel Kite and Kate Kingrey. She is survived
by two daughters, Pat Fite (Alfred) of Sparkman and Judy Stephenson
of Tracy, Calif.; five grandchildren, Cindy White (Mark) of
Malvern, David Fite (Rosie) of Sparkman, Dr. Dedra Fite of
Arlington, Texas, Shawn Stephenson (Dalia) of Pittsburg, Calif.,
and Scott Stephenson (Nancy) of Tracy, Calif.; six great-grandchildren,
Jeremy White of Gainesville, Fla., Cole White (Tori) of Buffalo,
N.Y., Dene’ Stephenson of Hurlburt Field, Fla., Seth
Stephenson of Bouburant, Iowa, Elizabeth Fite of Sparkman and
Danica Stephenson of Pittsburg, Calif.; one brother, Richard
Fleming (Glenda) of Sparkman; one sister, Frankie Wilkins (Thomas)
of Vilonia, Ark., and a sister-in-law, Marjorie Fleming.
Visitation will be at the Ruggles Wilcox Funeral Home Monday,
Jan. 14, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be in the
Ruggles-Wilcox Chapel Tuesday, Jan. 15, at 10 a.m. with Elder
Gary Harvey officiating. Interment will follow at the
Macedonia Cemetery on County Line Rd., north of Dalark.
Nephews will be pallbearers.
