The above picture is of the Joseph "Joe" Shearon/Sherron family who resided in Holly Springs, Dallas Co., & Calhoun, Co. Ark from as early as 1860. Joe & wife,
Elizabeth (Estes) Sherron, both natives of North Carolina, came to the
Holly Springs area with most, if not all of their children:

Martha E. Sherron
Joan Sherron
Thomas Sherron
James C. Sherron
Susan Shirron [sic]
Catherine Sherron
James C. Sherron m. Synthia/Cynthia Catherine Machen. John William
Shirron m. Mary Elizabeth Spears. Joan Sherron m. William J. Hazelton.
Catherine & Martha Sherron were spinsters. No additional information
has been located on Henry, Thomas or Susan Sherron.
This photo was taking cir 1937, it is believe to have been taking against the homestead of either James Sherron or John Sherron. The following have been identified:
2nd row: seated: 3rd & 4th from left are James C. & Synthia Catherine “Katie” (Machen)
Sherron.The gentleman, 9th from left looks like he could be John W.
Sherron who died in 1941.
3rd row: standing: 2nd from left in "vee necked" dress is Vercie Irene Brown, daughter of William Marion. & Beatrice (Sherron) Brown. (Vercie m. Charles Glenn Seefluth. Her mother, Beatrice Sherron, was a d/o James C. & Katie Sherron). 4th from left on same row is Edna Sarah Sherron, younger sister of Beatrice. (Edna was a twin of Claude Sherron. Edna m. Leroy Ethridge). 6th from left in same row is Myrtle Brown, another d/o William & Beatrice Sherron. (Myrtle m. George Walter Holmes). Same row, 9th from left in dark dress with two brooches on bodice is Beatrice Sherron who m. Wm. Marion Brown. Beatrice is the d/o James & Katie Sherron. 11th from left, same row is Ivy Marie Brown, another daughter of Wm. M. & Beatrice
Brown. Ivy married James Douglas Watson. Ivy is holding her daughter,
Nadine Watson.
last row (standing): 3rd from left the short gentleman in the
white shirt with a sharp profile is Wm. Marion Brown who m. Beatrice
Sherron. Wm. Marion Brown came from Fayette Co. GA. His brother Samuel
Early Brown lived in Delight, Pike Co., Arkansas, and raised a large
family there. There was another brother, Joseph Brown, who resided in
Little Rock, they are the sons of William Henry & Sarah (Fuller)
Brown.
Most of the other folks in the photo are probably Sherron clan. Jeanie would appreciate identification on any of these family members.
