Mrs. Pearl Gill Wood, age 82, of Marshall. Tex., and Omak,
Washington, died Tuesday, Oct. 10. She was a former resident
of Fordyce and was the widow of the late Edmond Wood. She was
also a member of the Mt. Paron Primitive Baptist Church near
Bucksnort.
Her survivors include three sons, Elbert Wood of Kauffman, Tex., Floyd Wood
of Marshall, Tex., and Bob Wood of Ft. Worth; five daughters, Mrs. Bernice
Mann of Marshall, Mrs. Lillian Mills and Mrs. Marie Harvey of Omak, Mrs. Mary
Gelvin of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Mrs. Burton Johnson of Lono; one brother,
Edgar Gill of Fordyce; five sisters, Mrs. Ethel Meece Berryhill, Mrs. Bertha
Hearne, Mrs. Meecie Williams, Mrs Alta Beasley, Mrs. Mattie Sisson, all of
Fordyce; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Oct. 11 at Marshall at 2:00 pm by the
Sullivant Funeral Home. Graveside services and burial will be Friday, Oct.
14 in Omak.
