N. Armon Goss, 78, of Big Sandy, Texas, formerly of Gurdon, died Saturday, May 31, 1997, in a Gladewater, Texas, nursing home.
Born September 4, 1918, in Tulip, he had lived at Big Sandy 19 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Gladewater and Deer Park Masonic Lodge. He was a retired pipefitter and he had served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in China during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Leola Dillard Goss of Big Sandy; two sons, William David Goss of Big Sandy and Alan Goss of Pasadena, Texas; a daughter, Nancy Kay Goss of Deer Park, Texas, one brother, Felix Goss of Longview, Texas; two sisters, Lettie Petty of San Antonio, Texas, and Dottie Dickey of Big Sandy; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Services were held Monday, June 2, at South Fork Baptist Church near Gurdon. Burial was in South Fork Cemetery under the direction of Stone-Goodwin Funeral Home of Gladwater.
