William Porter Jordan, age 48, of Fordyce, died Wednesday, August 6, 1997, in the Drew County Memorial Hospital at Monticello.
Born May 7,1949, at Little Rock, he was a son of Clark Elliott Jordan, Sr. and the late Mary Elizabeth Hall.
He was a logging contractor and a member of the First BaptistChmch of Fordyce.
Survivors include his wife, Kaye Jordan of Fordyce; one son, Pryor Jordan of Fordyce; his father, Clark Jordan, Sr. of Fordyce; his mother, Alice Jordan of Fordyce; one . brother, Clark Jordan, Jr. of Fordyce; one sister, Jill McMillan of Arkadelphia.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 8, at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Jimerson and Rev. Ken Shaddox officiating. Burial was in McCoy Cemetery by Benton Funeral Home, Inc. .
Memorials may be made to Fordyce Little League and Fordyce Babe Ruth.
