Elva Massey
FORDYCE - Elva Mae Burford Massey, 95, of Fordyce, died June 8, 2001, at Dallas County Nursing Home at Fordyce.
Born June 21, 1905, in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late H.W. Burford and Katie Kauffman Burford.
She was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dillard W. Massey.
Survivors include two sons, Travis Massey of Sherwood aand Donald Massey of the Sulphur Springs community near Pine Bluff; one daughter, Judy Brown of the Landmark community in Little Rock; one brother, Hiram "Peddlar" Burford of Fresno, Texas; and two sisters, Marie Childers of Pearland, Texas, and Roberta Faulk of Joplin, Missouri; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one stepgreat-grandchild.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Benton Funeral Home with the Rev. Clifton Marshall and the Rev. David Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Wright Cemetery near Fordyce.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
