Dorothy Dottie B. MacDonald, 80, of 1221 N. 7th St., Clear Lake, Iowa died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001 at the Oakwood Care Center, Clear Lake. Dottie had requested that her body be donated to University of Osteopathic Medicine, Des Moines, Iowa and their be no service. Family suggests memorials be sent to Hospice of North Iowa, 232 2nd St. S.E., Mason City, Iowa 50401. Dottie was born Sept. 6, 1921 in Hampton, Ark. the daughter of Charles Henry and Nelle Bly (Harris) Gresham. She graduated from Thornton (Arkansas) High School. Dottie married John A. MacDonald April 6, 1944 in Alexandria, La. They moved to Clear Lake in 1965. She worked for the Fashion Shop in Clear Lake and in 1987 started working for Olaf T. Hansen Clothing Store. Dottie is survived by her son, John H. MacDonald, San Diego, Calif.; three grandchildren, Sheila MacDonald, Charlie MacDonald and his wife, Aprile, and John MacDonald Jr., all of Des Moines, Iowa; one great-grandson, Warren MacDonald; one brother, Jack Gresham and his wife, Doris, Fordyce, Ark.; and one sister, Ruth Creed, Houston, Texas.
