Dell M. Green


SPARKMAN -- Dell M. Green, 92, of White Hall, formerly of Sparkman, died Friday, Oct. 22, 2004, at White Hall Nursing Home. She was born Sept. 9, 1912, in Hot Spring County, daughter of the late John R. and Lena Beason Morris. She and her husband, Arthur Green, owned and operated the Arthur Green Grocery Store until 1964; and she was a member of First Baptist Church in Sparkman. Mrs. Green worked in the business office at Henderson State University for 18 years and was an avid Reddie and Henderson State University supporter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Green; four sisters and seven brothers.


Survivors include: One daughter, Dorothy and her husband, Waymon Pearson of White Hall; one sister, Frances Russell of Arkadelphia; one grandchild, Michael W. Pearson and his wife, Donna of Bossier City, La.; and two great-grandchildren, Jordan and Jentry Pearson.


Funeral was today in Ruggles-Wilcox chapel with Rev. Jimmy Burks and Rev. Wade Totty officiating. Burial was in Sparkman Cemetery.


Memorials may be made to Sparkman First Baptist Church, N. Broadway St., or to Sparkman First United Methodist Church, 228 S. Broadway St., Sparkman, Ark. 71763.
