Wanda Sue Atkinson, 73 of Fordyce, died Sunday, April 16, 2006 at her home. She was born June 21, 1932 in New Edinburg to the late Neal Sidney and Lela Mitchell Ballard. She was a member of Chambersville Methodist church. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Clary Atkinson.
She is survived by one son, Roger Williams and his wife Grayson of Fordyce; one daughter, Vicki LaBerge and her husband Alan of Goose Creek, South Carolina; a step-daughter, Cecilia Todd Bedingfield of Cushing, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 AM at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel in Fordyce. Burial at Oakland Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 PM until 8 PM Monday at Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
