Charles Travis Ming, 72, of Mauriceville, died Wednesday, March 1, 2006, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Robert Netterville, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Mauriceville. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Ming was born September 14, 1933, in Jacinto, Arkansas to Otto and Courtney (Jones) Ming. He served in the US Army and worked as an operator for DuPont Sabine River Works in Orange. He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, Frances Ming of Mauriceville; sons and daughter-in-law, Charles Keith and Robyn Ming of Liberty, Michael Todd Ming and his fiancé Kris Brown of Mauriceville; grandchildren, Charles Kody Ming and William Kyle Ming; sister and brother-in-law, Ella Jo and Louis C. Gossett of West Orange and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Stanley Broussard, Gary Dearing, Jimmy Jones, Dale Robinson, Glenn Tally, David Krummell, Steve Taylor and Kevin Meads. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to First Baptist Church in Mauriceville, P.O. Box 56, Mauriceville, Texas 77626.
