CARTHAGE - Ollie V. Allen, 77, of Carthage, formerly of Sparkman, died Feb. 12, 2007, in a Little Rock hospital. She was born Jan. 7, 1930, at Sparkman, daughter of the late Wade and Carrie Bivens. She was a retired employee of Carthage Nursing Home and a member of Bethel AME Church at Carthage.
Survivors include: Three sons, Jimmie Herbert Allen, Andrew C. Allen Jr. and Johnny L. Allen of Carthage; three daughters, Ceartha A. Henderson of Little Rock and Shirley J. Kidd and Leslie M. Conway of North Little Rock; one brother, Ruby Dale Bivens of Sparkman; and 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Bethel AME Church with Rev. Willie Toney Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery at Sparkman under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home.
