Tony Ray Collins was born Sept. 17, 1954, in Malvern, Ark., to the parentage of Lee Andrew Collins and Aretha Mae Williams Collins. He departed this life May 20, 2008, in Hot Springs, Ark. He confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and united with the Greater New Hope Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend J. H. White.

Tony was a 1972 graduate of Malvern High School. He later attended Ouachita Vo-Tech College in Malvern where he had a degree in cooking and enjoyed working at the college as a cook.

His father and mother preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memories two sons, Christopher Collins of Iran and Preston Charles Hall of Little Rock; one daughter, Yolanda Collins of Malvern; four brothers, Roger Collins (Sharon) of Newport News, Va., Jerry Wayne Collins (Wanda) and Keith Collins of Malvern and Cornelius Collins (Caroline) of West Armadale, Australia; two sisters, Sheril Caradine (Harold) of Malvern and Carletha Collins Medlock (Alvin) of Lansing, Ill.; aunts, Ms. Billie Jean Williams and Dorothy Jo (Jimmie) Adkins of Chicago, Ill., Bestoria Brown of Hot Springs and Bobbie Williams of Hampton, Va.; uncles, Willie Earl Williams of Malvern and Allie Collins of Princeton; special niece, Kim Lea; nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 24, 2008, at 11 a.m. at the Greater New Hope Church with Reverend J.O.T. Lea officiating. Interment will follow at the Masonic Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation.
