Hurley Alvin Adams

Hurley Alvin Adams, 100 of Fordyce, died Tuesday, February 24, 2009. He was born September 29, 1908 in Bradley County to the late Selvin and Cynthia Reddin Adams. He was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church of Fordyce.
He is survived by 2 sons, James Adams and wife Lois of Kemp, Texas, Leon Adams and wife Shelba of Thornton, Arkansas; daughter-in-law, Donna Adams of Jacksonville, Arkansas; sister, Carrie Hill of New Albany, Indiana; sister-in-law, Mary Adams of Little Rock, Arkansas; 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Versie Ora Adams; one son, Alvin Adams; three brothers, Clyde, W.T., and Wister Adams; and sister, Mattie Lea Loomis.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 10 AM at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel in Fordyce. Burial will be at Williams Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home in Fordyce. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
