Joy Lea Kelly Bane, 70, of Lono, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at a local Hot Springs hospital.
She was born August 21, 1938 in Tulip, Arkansas to Benjamin “Ben” Kelly and Mildred Parker Kelly. She was retired from the Malvern Public School System where she worked as a custodian and she was a homemaker.
The family will receive friends at the home of Michael and Connie Bane, 3400 Hwy. 9, Leola, Arkansas.
She is survived by: Her husband of 53 years: Thomas L. Bane of Lono, Arkansas, 1 Son: Michael Bane and his wife Connie of Lono, Arkansas, 1 Brother: Van Kelly and his wife Sally of Hampton, Arkansas, 1 Brother-in-law: Cecil Gayer of Denver, Colorado, 1 Sister: Benette Morgan of Hampton, Arkansas, 1 Sister-in-law: Catherine Kelly of Camden, Arkansas, 1 Step-Grandson: Aaron Williams of Hot Springs, Arkansas, numerous foster grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother-James Kelly, and two sisters-Gwen Gayer and Betty Chambers.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2009 at Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel with interment immediately following. Visitation will be held Friday evening 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
