Nancy C. Brantley Doss, 67, of Fordyce died Sunday March 22, 2009 at the Dallas County Medical Center in Fordyce. She was born March 21, 1942 in New Edinburg. She had worked as a clerk at Mad Butcher in Fordyce for twenty-one years and she was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Fordyce. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Dickens and Pearl King Dickens; husband, Shelby Brantley; son, Felton Ray Adams and brother, C.W. Dickens. She is survived her husband, Alton J. Doss of Fordyce; daughter, Debbie Quarles of Sachse, TX; two sisters, Faye Conoly of Dallas, TX and Janice Hopper of Fordyce; grandson, Darrell Wesley Quarles of Sachse, TX and special friend, Mary “Sissy” Jones of Fordyce. Visitation will be Wednesday 6pm until 8pm at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Thursday at McFarland Cemetery near Banks with Rev. B.L. Blann officiating..
