Eugene Rodgers (b. ?, d. circa 1884) and Elizabeth Ann (Grubbs) Rodgers (b. 10/12/1861, d. 1/18/1950 in Drew County, AR). I believe that Milton Eugenes parents were Richard Rodgers and Rosie Welth. I dont know anything about either one of them. I would like to fill in the blanks in my Rodgers line. It would help a lot to know where the family came from. My father thinks it might have been Tennessee, but he doesnt really know. He also thinks his middle name, Cloyd, might be a family name someplace. Can anyone help? URL: http://members.aol.com/AttalaKin/index/html

John Jacob "Jake" HUTCHISON was born in Attala County, MS, on April 15, 1879. About 1905, Jake disappeared from the area of his birth, probably because of some difficulties with the law. He was last heard from about 1916 when a family tradition holds that he was rafting logs on the Arkansas River. Since some distant cousins of his, (from the Dossville area of Leake and Attala Counties and perhaps named FRAZIER), arrived in Drew County at about that same time it is possible they were joined by Jake--maybe under an assumed name. Anyone with information is asked to contact the writer.

SPROUSE, William. Had a land patent in Marion Twp. of Drew Co. Found on 1850 Census with wife Elizabeth (Beason)Sprouse, son John Sprouse and daughter Sarah Sprouse. Family Tree Maker said that there is a historical Court Case about William at Ft. Smith Arkansas about 1866. Where do I find that court case ? Where in Marion Twp. was the family living in 1850? Where did son John Sprouse and daughter Sarah Sprouse go when their mother moved to Louisiana ? She and other children were found in Calcasieu Parish, LA on 1860 census. Family story is that William Sprouse shot a man by the name of Markle, when he found that Markle had stole some hides that belonged to William Sprouse. Can anyone help me ?

I am seeking information about Thomas Polk HOWELL (b. Jan 23, 1845/d. Fordyce/Aug. 29,1899), his wife, Lizzie, and family. They were known to have lived in Selma in the mid 1800s. I believe Thomas to be directly related to Edwin A/Martha Ann (Pierce) Howell family either as a brother or cousin. Lizzie (d. abt 1888 and several of their children (Wiley, Casper, others???) are likely buried in or near Selma. Surviving children included Francis (Fannie/b.abt 1875), Ivy(b.April 9, 1877), and my grandmother-Ina Rebecca (b. Oct. 9, 1886). Following Lizzie's death, Thomas married Jennie Robinson of Fordyce. She was likely a relation to the Robinson of the Howell-Robinson and Company (son,Edwin A /Mary Gallespie Howell)--cotton brokers in Pine Bluff in the early 1900s. Cemetaries? References that definitely link the relationships of Thomas to Edwin A, and likely W.C. Howell all of Drew Co. in the same era??Information about Lizzie (maiden name, birth believed to have been in AL, date of death???). I would appreciate any imput. Thank you.
