Three children of Howard and Anna Henry are shown in the Troy school picture, Curtis, and the twins Thompson and Roby Henry my father. The twins were born in 1899.

The building was still standing in the 1950s. I have been by the building many times and have been in it with my father.

The Henry family moved to Troy from Paris, Tennessee around 1906. They soon moved to Collins where Howard and Anna lived the remainder of their lives. A great, great, great, great, grandchild of Howard and Anna lives in Crossett, Arkansas.

Troy, Arkansas was located about 2 miles north of Line, a community on the Ashley-Drew County line on the road between Snyder in Ashley County and Collins in Drew County. According to Mrs. J. D. McCloy writing in the Advance-Monticellionian on Feb. 5, 1942 Troy was on or near the road to Gaines landing on the Mississippi and that the 1860 records shows that Troy was incorporated and was laid of one mile square.
