HAMLET

On March 4 God in his infinite wisdom and tender mercy saw fit to remove from us and this earthly sphere, Uncle Will Russell. He was over 80 years of age. He lived and died a consistent member of the Church of Christ. He has run a good race and fought a good fight, and it is fitting indeed to say, "O, grave where is thy victory; O, death where is thy sting?" He was the last member of the Russell family and in his death the missing link has been added to the family chain in the home which knows no death. Uncle Will was a just and honorable man and to know him was to love him. He will be sadly missed by the host of friends who paid their last tribute of respect to him in New Libery Cemetery at 2 p.m. Monday. --Mar. 6 (date of reporting)

OBITUARY

On Sunday afternoon August 22, many hearts were made sad and eyes streamed with tears as they gazed upon the remains of Mrs. Mae Dunn Shaw, who passed to her reward Saturday night, August 21.

Her walk on earth is o'er; Mae's voice is still, but she is only asleep. She was such a sweet girl, loved and cherished by all who knew her. She was a member of the Baptist church and was only a babe in Christianity. May her short stay on earth be a guiding star to point to Him above.

To me she was a schoolmate and chum and never knew anything too good to tell me. We told to each other our joys along with our little troubles. We never had a harsh word spoken. It was like giving up a sister, and although I couldn't lock hands and go with her, may God keep me to so live that I'll meet her up yonder.

To the sorrowing husband who is left here, may this be a tie to draw you closer to God, with whom Mae has gone to dwell.

Dear parents, brothers and sisters, it was hard to give her up, but we, too, will some day have to go, and let us so live that we might meet God and darling Mae with a clear conscience.
